I'm awake.....I'm awake....
So, I have to teach 2nd Grade this morning. Which means I am awake (but mercifully still pajama-clad) at 7:25 a.m. I don't like this. Not one bit.
If being a normal, productive member of society requires me to be awake and functional at this ungodly hour, I think I'll pass.

There is a misconception, though. The "normal, productive" members of society may be awake at such an ungodly hour, but they are nowhere near functional until about 10:30 AM.
the key word here is.. *drumroll* coffee! if you are like me that is. :)
Even WITH coffee, I was ready for a nap by 10:00.
And just so nobody thinks I'm a pansy or anything, I DID have to do early mornings for a while when I was in Teach for America. Like "alarm clock set for 4:45 a.m." early.
I'm surprised I lived through that, actually.
it's a personality trait for me. like a lecturer i've had said once; "some people are tired in the morning, some at night; me, i could take a nap right here and now, anytime." i'm like that :)
I hate coffee and refuse to drink it. Which is probably why I am a night person and wake up at 1 p.m. most days. Years of night jobs probably didn't help. I feel your pain.
Don't let the kids torture you.
