You know, people used to talk about Bill Clinton and call him "slick" because he could get out of any number of scrapes using his charm.
True enough...but then what do you say about THIS administration?
Dick "Go Fuck Yourself" Cheney shoots a guy in the face...
and the victim says HE's sorry for the trouble he's caused Cheney.
Holy crap. Just think about that one for a minute.
And Cheney's not even charming.
or attractive.
or a saxophone player.
or pleasant in the least, really.
What gives?

Was Bill Clinton attractive. Hmmm.
Not back then, to me anyway. Although, a lot of women did think so. I just wasn't old enough probably.
My point, though, was that all of the typical reasons people get away with stuff like shooting people in the face do not apply to Dick Cheney.
And, no, Hillary did not shoot anyone. Good lord.
Ask any woman as to how much personality matters in making someone attractive. Bill Clinton's mystique was in the whole package of (relative) youth, charm and choice of pursuits (by which I mean the saxophone, pervs). Cheney, by contrast, comes off radically different. Indeed, so devoid is this man of any perceivable humanity that shooting a guy in the face can't really make things worse.
Furthermore, don't discount the value of the Monica Lewinsky campaign, which I'm increasingly convinced was part of a seven-year plan to make America weary of presidential investigations. The GOP knew what it would be up to at this point.
The Vince Foster case was ruled a suicide. I've seen the pictures, and according to forensic reports the position of the glasses, blood spots and gunpowder residue shows an obvious suicide.
Nick, what do oil cronyism, a neocon stranglehold on power, questionable business dealing, regressive tax cuts and the war on Iraq have to do with 9/11? You think all of that is an unexpected byproduct of the WTC attack? No, it wasn't; the war on Iraq was planned well before 9/11, and the other plans go back decades.
That's exactly what I just didn't say, Nick. My point is, nothing the neocons planned was in any way related to 9/11; it might have helped their cause, but it wasn't in their master plan.

Mostly, I just like to repeatedly say "Dick Cheney shot a dude in the face" as many times as possible every day.
